"Fashion designer. She is one of the best known Spanish names in Japan. Her work spans all fields of design: from clothing to adornments and accessories."

Sybilla Sorondo was born in New York in 1963. Her father was from Argentina and her mother was Polish. She moved to Madrid when she was a child. She opened her first studio in Madrid in 1983 and participated in Barcelona’s Gaudí Salon two years later. In 1987 she signed with the Italian company Gibó. This launched her international reputation, which led her to Milan, Paris, New York and Tokyo. She opened her first shop in Tokyo in 1989 and over the years became one of the most admired designers in Japan. In 1996 she created Sybilla Casa, a home decoration line. In 1998 she launched her bridal collection. She also designs jewellery.
