"After a distinguished career as a film, theatre and television actor, his first work as a director, ‘The Fury of a Patient Man’, won four Goya awards in 2016."

Raúl Arévalo studied acting at the Escuela Cristina Rota. He has appeared in well-known television productions as ‘Compañeros’, ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’, ‘Con el culo al aire’, ‘El tiempo entre costuras’, and ‘Velvet’, and on stage in plays such as ‘Beaumarchais’ and ‘Falstaff’.


His participation in the feature film ‘Dark Blue Almost Black’ (2006) was the starting point for a number of outstanding cinematic roles. After several nominations, he won the Goya for best supporting actor for his part in the comedy ‘Fat People’ (2009).
 

His versatility as an actor enables him to switch easily from comedy to thrillers. ‘The Fury of a Patient Man’ (2016) marked his debut as a director, earning him Goya awards for best new director and best original script.
