The following films focus on marginalised groups, or those with problems, and include ‘27 hours’, ‘Letters from Alou’ and ‘Stories from the Kronen’. In 1997, he released ‘Secrets of the Heart’, nominated for an Oscar for the Best Foreign Language Film. After ‘Broken silence’ and ‘Escenarios móvil’, he directed ‘Obaba’ in 2005.
