" Film director. “Mi hermano del alma”, his first feature film, won the Grand Prix in the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival."

Born in San Justo (Barcelona) in 1959. He abandoned his university studies to dedicate himself to film. After obtaining several prizes at festivals with a variety of shorts, he left to study film at the American Film Institute. Back to Spain, he directed five chapters of the series “Las chicas de hoy en día” by Fernando Colomo. Colomo himself produces Barroso’s first feature film, “Mi hermano del alma”, which was awarded at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. After this come “Éxtasis”, “Kasbash” and “Hormigas en la boca”, as well as several television productions. As a teacher, he has worked with the Film Schools in Cuba and Madrid, and with the Menéndez Pelayo International University.
