" Theatre, film and television actress. She rose to fame with her role in Benito Zambrano’s film Solas (1999)."

Born in Seville in 1935, she worked as a history of art teacher in her native city until her retirement in 2000. In 1985, she debuted as an actress in the film Madre in Spain. Her first theatre was The House of Bernarda Alba. She has worked with directors such as Fernando Trueba in Belle Époque (1992), José Luis Cuerda in On Earth as it is in Heaven (1995) and Vicente Aranda, amongst others. She won the Goya for her role in the film Solas. She worked with Paco Rabal on the series Juncal and starred in the play Fugadas (2009) alongside Rosario Pardo. As a television actress, her role in the series Cuéntame cómo pasó stands out.
