" Architect. In addition to his buildings, Juan Daniel Fullaondo is also known as the author of some of the earliest monographs published on contemporary Spanish architects.

Juan Daniel Fullaondo was born in Bilbao in 1936. He studied in the School of Architecture in Madrid, and graduated in 1961. In 1964 he presented his doctoral thesis on the subject of the relationships between architecture and the music of Schoenberg and Boulez, a theme which highlighted his view of art and culture. He worked in partnership with Sáenz de Oiza on the project for the Torres Blancas buildings, and received the National Architecture Prize in 1962. He combined his professional work as an architect with teaching and writing. In 1967 he founded the journal entitled 'Nueva Forma' which continued to be published until 1975. In addition to articles and criticism, he was the author of theoretical essays and historical books on architects and Spanish architecture. He died in Madrid in 1994.
