"Actor and director. He has shown great flexibility to adapt to both classical Spanish and modern Catalan theatre."

Born in Mollet del Vallès in 1944, he finished his studies in 1970 and joined the María Guerrero National Theatre company directed by José Luis Alonso. That same year he debuted in Valle-Inclán’s A Romance of Wolves. He has performed in around fifty plays working with renowned directors such as Calixto Bieito, Josep Maria Flotats, Mario Gas, Pilar Miró and Adolfo Marsillach. In 2004 he was awarded the Generalitat de Catalunya National Theatre Prize for his role in Celobert directed by Ferran Madico and for his reading of Bartleby, the Scrivener: A Story of Wall Street. He presented a personal project in 2005 La Cabra o qui és Sylvia, where he directed, starred and produced. He is the artistic director of the Goya Theatre (Barcelona) and La Latina Theatre (Madrid).
