"Fashion designer. Jesús del Pozo is one of the most internationally renowned fashion designers on the Spanish scene."

Jesús del Pozo was born in Madrid in 1946 and studied Furniture Design and Interior Design. After a period of reflection and travel in a number of countries, he returned to Madrid in 1974 and opened his first men's clothing store. Two years later he presented his first men's collection in Paris, and in 1980 his first prêt-à-porter collection for women. His fashion house has grown steadily since then, entering new markets and creating new business lines, such as perfumes and wedding dresses. He has also worked in the theatre, where one of his most outstanding costume designs was for the opera "Carmen" produced by the Teatro Real opera house in 1998. He died in Madrid in 2011.
