A teacher, researcher and journalist as well as a playwright, Itziar Pascual was born in Madrid in 1967. She earned a doctorate in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and a degree in Dramaturgy from RESAD, where she has been a lecturer since 1999. She has published over thirty plays, which have been translated and performed in several countries. She has also worked as a journalist on the radio and in the press, communications departments and specialist journals. Her awards include the National Children's and Young People's Performing Arts Award (2019).
