Fuensanta Nieto (Madrid, 18 April 1957) and Enrique Sobejano (Madrid, 13 June 1957) studied at the School of Architecture of Madrid and obtained the Master of Science in Building Design from the Graduate School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Columbia in New York. In 1985 they founded the Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos studio with offices in Madrid and Berlin. Their works have won many awards and have been published in both Spanish and international magazines and books. They have also been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Kunsthaus Graz and the MAST Foundation in Bologna, among other places. Their main works include the Madinat Al-Zahra Museum, the Moritzburg Museum, the Zaragoza Conference Centre, the extension of the Joanneum Museum in Graz and the Contemporary Arts Centre in Cordoba. Nieto currently works as Professor of Projects at the European University of Madrid and Sobejano as Professor of Projects at Berlin University of the Arts. In addition, they both participate in conferences and symposiums in Spain and abroad.
