" Actress. She starred in Luis García Berlanga’s masterpiece “El verdugo” (The Executioner). She was one of the most popular actresses in Spanish cinema."

Born in Madrid in 1931, her strong desire to become an actress led her to abandon her studies and join the Teatro María Guerrero theatre. She began in the cinema in the 1950s with films such as “Los ojos dejan Huellas”, "Cómicos”, “Los peces rojos” and “Fedra”. In 1963 she starred in “El verdugo” (The Executioner), which was one of her best performances. At the end of the 1960s she married the producer Emiliano Piedra and took part in many of his productions. Her films of the 1980s include “Padre Nuestro”, “El amor brujo” and “La estanquera de Vallecas”. In recent years she has become very popular through her work in a number of television series. She died in Madrid in 2007.
