"Artist, poet and art critic. She is notable for her interest in using computers in art. "

She was born in Madrid in 1940 and studied at the Arts and Crafts School and Ceramics School in Madrid. She moved to Paris to continue her studies at the Fine Arts School there. In 1963 she was one of the founder members of the “Castilla 63” group and in 1967 of "Nueva Generación" (New Generation). In the 1980s she worked with music by linking musical language with her structures. She moved to New York and became involved in the conceptual scene there. She is very interested in using computers in art and has undertaken very important theoretical work in this field. She also writes experimental poetry and has been invited to give lectures at a number of universities and cultural centres. She died in Azpiroz (Pamplona), on 14 December 2015.
