"Architect. César Portela has received numerous national and international distinctions including the National Architecture Award for the bus depot in Cordoba."

His full name is César Portela Fernandez-Jardón. He was born in Pontevedra in 1937. He graduated in architecture from the School of Architecture in Barcelona and later moved to Madrid, where he obtained his doctorate in 1968. His works include the Museum of the Sea in Vigo, created in collaboration with Aldo Rossi. He also worked with Isozaki on the construction of the Domus-House of Man building in A Coruña. He combines his professional work with teaching, and is professor of Architectural Projects in the School of Architecture in A Coruña. He has been a guest professor at the universities of Pamplona, Lisbon, Caracas and Weimar.
