" Narrator, playwright and translator, a famous author of children’s and young people’s books. National Children’s and Teenage Literature Award for her work “Un monstruo en el armario” (A Monster in the Closet) in 1991."

Born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1923, the daughter of Spanish parents, she studied at the Performing Arts Institute in Buenos Aires. She moved to Spain in 1947 and started working as an actress and radio scriptwriter. Between 1960 and 1965 she collaborates with “Bazar”, a children’s magazine. In 1964 she publishes her first children’s book: “La fuerza de la gacela”. Over the course of her literary career, she has worked both translating children's books as well as creating her own stories, for which she has obtained important awards: the Doncel, Lazarillo and National Children's and Young People's Literature awards.
