" Writer. Considered one of the most relevant authors of the 20th century literary scene. A member of the so-called Generation of 50s."

Born in Salamanca in 1925. She holds a degree in Romance Philology from the University of Salamanca, and is given an extraordinary recognition upon completing her studies. In 1950 she moves to Madrid, where she participates in the city’s literary circles and becomes a friend of writers of her generation, such as Alfonso Sastre, Medardo Fraile or Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio. During the initial years of the middle of the century, she begins to collaborate with newspapers and magazines of the times, such as "ABC", "Blanco y negro" or "Alcalá". Her work evolves from the realist tint of her first novels in the 50s toward a much more personal intimacy, whose vertebrae is always a critical questioning of the world, especially paying attention to the role of women within it. She died in Madrid in the year 2000.
