"Flamenco singer. Her artistic career has cultivated all of the varied traditions within flamenco and has combined traditional cante with the search for new forms of expression."

Her full name is Carmen Rodríguez Pacheco. Born in Linares (Jaen) in 1951. Her guitarist father accompanied her singing at the start of her career. Her voice is full of nuances and musicality. In 1965 she moves to Madrid where she meets Fosforito, amongst others. She was one of the first flamenco artists invited to the Lincoln Centre in New York by the city's Philharmonic Orchestra. She collaborated in the film “Flamenco” by Carlos Saura. In the year 2000, she works with the composer and guitarist Manolo Sanlúcar on the album “Locura de brisa y trino”, which entails the recovery of poems written by Lorca, accompanied by the harmony of modern guitar compositions. She has also approached the poetry of Juan Ramón Jiménez in “Raíces y Alas”
