"Film actor. One of the most charismatic faces of Spanish film. His interpretations have won two Goya Awards."

Born in Sahagún de Campos (Leon) in 1962. At the age of 18 he begins acting in collaboration with a theatre group in Salamanca. At 22, he moves to Madrid to study at the School of Dramatics Arts. Miguel de Narros initiates him to theatre, and he enters the National Theatre. He has also worked with the National Classical Theatre Company. Smaller roles as an extra launch him into film. His great opportunity arrives in 1992 with “Vacas” by Julio Medem. Other collaborations with Medem arise with “La ardilla roja” and “Tierra”. José Luis Garci, Imanol Uribe or Pilar Miró are some of the prestigious directors under whom he has acted. Simultaneous to film, he continues to develop a brilliant theatrical activity.
