Dec 23, 1941

"Composer and, since 2001, member of the Canary Islands Royal Academy of Fine Arts."

Born in Madrid in 1941, he is the co-founder of various musical groups, of the Association of Spanish Symphonic Composers (ACSE) and of the Hispano-Mexican Contemporary Music Festival in Mexico.

He represented Spanish National Radio in the Italia Prize (1975) and in the UNESCO International Tribunal of Composers (Paris, 1979).

He has worked as a teacher at the Albacete Music Conservatory (1985-86) and as Head of Production for Spanish National Radio’s Radio 2 Classical Station (1990-2006). He has also received commissions from prestigious national and international festivals, such as the Alicante International Music Festival and the Santander International Festival, and from numerous institutions, including the Ministry of Culture.
