"Soprano. One of the most renowned current Spanish opera singers. She is also an outstanding performer of Zarzuela."

Born in Tolosa (Guipúzcoa) in 1964, she trained at the San Sebastián conservatory, and then in Italy, with Luciano Pavarotti and Mirella Freni. Her success in important competitions in Paris and New York launched her on her current international artistic career. She made her debut in 1990 in Rossini’s opera, "La Cenerentola". Her success in the New York Metropolitan Opera House was continued in Covent Garden in London. She works frequently with Plácido Domingo in concerts in different countries around the world. She is one of the few Spanish artists to have performed in the White House. She is a member of the Cadiz Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
