"Fashion designer. Her bold and colourful designs have made her one the most acclaimed fashion designers the national and international scene."

Her real name is Águeda Isabel Ruiz de la Prada. Born in Madrid in 1960, her father is the architect Manuel Ruiz de la Prada and her mother a Catalan aristocrat. She studied at the Barcelona School of Arts and Fashion Techniques. Her designs first attracted attention in the early 1980s, in the midst of the 'movida madrileña' countercultural movement, in the Local Design Centre and in various well-known art galleries of the moment. In the 1990s, her collections were showcased on catwalks in Osaka, Paris and Miami. Since then her national and international fame has never ceased to grow.
