Duque de Lerma, 2
45003 Toledo
Toledo, Castile-La Mancha

This is a section of the National Historical Archive which since October 1993 has operated autonomously, with its own management and staff. It is a pioneering cultural institution in its genre, because it recovers and preserves files and documents on nobility, for study and research purposes.

Noble collections that were kept in the Osuna Sections and in several sections in the National Historical Archive are housed here. It also receives new collections from donations or deposits by private bodies or people, as well as purchases by the Ministry of Culture. It is housed in the 16th century Hospital de Tavera in Toledo. It contains over 700 archives regarding titles of the nobility. Its collection includes various beautiful examples of illuminated manuscripts and photographs.
