Church of San Miguel de Lillo

It is one of the icons of Asturias and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its pre-Romanesque artwork. The portico, entrance to the choir and the start of the three naves are fully preserved to this day, as well as parts of the window, pedestal and capital decoration.

The Botarga is the face of one of the most typical characters of the traditional winter festivals in many villages in Guadalajara. The costume is completed with strikingly colourful outfits, cowbells, castanets and a bludgeon. It’s origin is related to fertilisation.
